Survival

For decades corporate groups have used challenge course events for team building and to establish cooperation and communication within the corporation.

Primitive technology is a way to achieve those goals with a program that is unique, effective and long lasting. The process of decision-making and implementation of the plan has a direct application to the team’s cooperate setting. When the skills learned are used by the individual for fun, they are reminded of the corporate application so the education has a rebound effect that will have a positive influence on the company for years.

Fire Quest

The ability of primitive people to make fire was one of the leading avenues to advance civilization. In this exercise your team will have to coordinate, communicate and execute the multiple details required to produce fire from cold sticks. Success is not guaranteed but lessons are learned no matter what the outcome.

Our facilitators will walk your team through the process and help draw out an awareness of how you achieve your outcome and how that applies to the real world.

This class works as a great start to any educational or motivational meeting.

Duration: 1 to 1 ½ hours

The Castaway

Your group must work out the details of what they would do if they were stranded with limited access to tools and gear. The process starts with a discussion of what the group needs and how they will acquire those things. Our facilitators will help move the process along by teaching the skills required to assure the team has the knowledge to get the things they need to survive. This activity will take place outdoors and the use of natural material will be encouraged. Final success will be measured by the team as they discuss how well they achieved the goals set at the beginning of the day.

Our facilitators will help the team determine how what they learned in the class can be used to be more effective back at the office.

Duration: 4-5 hours

Survival With Nothing

You are stranded in the outdoors with no modern gear. What will you need and how long will you have to procure it to survive in the wilderness? Our facilitators will teach all the skills required to cover the basic needs of the scenario. During the lessons the group will have to make decisions based on the information they have acquired to overcome their obstacles.

The day culminates in the “Final Test”

Where the group will test their observation skills and decision-making processes to see if they can use the team’s talents to the ultimate benefit of the entire group.

Some of the skills included will be primitive fire-making, stone tools manufacture, survival hunting, (no we won’t kill anything today) flowing with the rhythms of nature and shelter considerations.
