Ropes Course
Challenges, processing of information, team work, and fun will all be experienced
n this program.
Participants will be challenged to strategize the accomplishment of goals
and obstacles put before them. Any number of or combination of varying ‘low
ropes’ programs can be used. “High rope’ challenges can also
be used as the crescendo of the event.
This program is highly customizable for your needs and time available.

PROGRAM AGENDA
The Team Chase: Program Itinerary
Time frame: 5:00 PM – 9 PM
5 – 5:30 PM
Arrival of 40 challenge course participants and 60 regional team members.
5:30 – 5:40 PM
Orientation meeting on the south campus bleachers to introduce itinerary and
guidelines for the morning activities to the group of 100
5:45 to 7:30 PM Forty participants, in five teams of eight representing the
five regional
groups, take on three of the six Team Chase challenges on the low rope course.
Each group will be evaluated on each activity in relation to specific criteria.
At the completion of the activity they will be given a score for their team
that represents the effectiveness of their team problem solving in relation
to the prescribed criteria. Criteria are activity specific, however, will include
aspects of effective communication, ingenuity in problem solving, adherence
to prescribed guidelines, resilience in absorbing, adapting and overcoming
unexpected challenges.
Activities include: overtopping a thirteen foot wall; crossing a imaginary
gorge on only a hanging vine; fording an imagined swamp on wires that represent
fallen longs using only your teammates and your balance; portaging
team members through a venomous spider’s web; maneuvering on a sinking
life raft; and ambulating on a small cable using only Tarzan like vines for
balance.
7:30 to 7:45 PM
Group of 100 migrates to the northern athletic fields to view the high rope
course. Note: the five high course participants will be brought over to the
high course at 7:25 PM to give them advanced training prior to high rope
participation.
7:45 to 9 PM
Five participants, one volunteer from each of the five regional teams, venture
the challenges of the high element course. 90 staff cheer on their co-workers
while they maneuver through the various high elements earning team points for
their participation. Standing over thirty feet in the air, the high elements
include climbing an oversized log ladder to cables and ropes that offer distinct
obstacles of various design that test the balance, agility and fortitude of
the participant. Other high activities include: a trapeze leap at thirty feet
in the air, a team ladder for two colleagues to climb to the top of with limited
resources and a heightened level of challenge after each rung, a boardwalk
traverse that offers no hand holds, and a 180-foot zip line.
Note: Contract contingent on completion of Operating Agreement and completion
of Insurance Administration IA) forms for each of 40 challenge course participants.
IA forms need to be submitted at least 24 hours in advance for medical screening.
Accouterments
Participants will need to:
o Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather on Friday.
o Remove watches and jewelry.
o Wear athletic type shoes with stiff soles such as sneakers or light hiking
boots (sandals or open toed shoes are inappropriate). Bring a sun hat, as desired.

Get your team up and over the wall!
Nitro Crossing
Swing across an imagined chasm and land on small spits of land.
Mohawk Walk
Use only the wires and teammates to traverse across fifty yards of an imagined
swamp.
Whale Watch
Suspend the platform in balance while teammates move onto and around the teeter-totter.
Spider's Web
Cross through the elusive web without touching the poisonous fibers and cross
to safety before the spider arrives.
Low Multivine
Maneuver across the lower cable with only the aid of the Tarzan-like vines.
Special considerations
Cost includes program facilitation, color-coded tank tops for challenge course
participants. Awards for distinguished teams are not included in this price,
as often that can be specific to the client group. Catering can be provided
for an additional expense.
We request to be made aware of any special needs members of the client group
may have so they can be adequately addressed prior to the program date.
Bathroom facilities are available by the low and high course but will be shared
with the school student population. High course bathroom access is more remote
than low course access.
Parking for individual cars is limited on campus when school is in session.
Bus transport to and from the event will be necessary.
Waivers and releases need to be completed by each participating client. These
will need to be provided in advance. An operating agreement between client
and St. Gregory College Preparatory School including
certificates of insurance is required.
Special requirements: A certificate of insurance is to be provided to
St.Gregory naming St. Gregory co-Insured.
